Confined Space Entry Procedures Using Escape BA Sets

1 Day course for Managers, Engineers, Technicians and Operatives to learn working procedures associated with confined space operations to fulfil the Confined Spaces Regulations 1997 and The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

Course Duration:

One - three days including practical element (dependent on level of competency required)

Who will benefit?:

Managers, Engineers, Technicians and Operatives who are required themselves or have responsibility for others who inspect or work in confined spaces.

The Confined Spaces Regulations 1997 and The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974

Aims of Training:

To provide instruction on the safe entry, egress and working procedures associated with Confined space operations including:

  • Legislation and Regulations relating to confined spaces
  • Atmospheric hazards and monitoring devices
  • Gas detection
  • Personal Protective Equipment and personal hygiene
  • Manpower requirements and risk assessments
  • Safe systems of work
  • The use of escape sets
  • Safe Entry and egress
  • Equipment servicing and cleaning

Maximum Number of Delegates:

10 per course.

Resource Required:

If carried out away from a training centre -  Training room to comfortably accommodate all the delegates with 240V power supply an area as realistic as possible that can be safely used as a Confined Space

The group was initially formed in 1968 and was known as the Luton and District Construction Training Group. However, to better reflect the geographical locations of the members, the name was changed in the 1980's to the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Construction Group. In 1991 the group became Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Construction Training Limited. In 2008 to better reflect our position in the market place our name changed to Construction Training (B&H) Ltd.
